Onex, Inc.

“We’ve had 5 highly qualified leads in less than 2 months [since launching] which is more than we ever had in a year! Plus everyone loves our brand.”
– Ashleigh Walters, President of Onex, Inc.

Who says manufacturing websites have to be dull? Onex, Inc. is a bright, inspirational Employee Owned company determined to Reignite the American Dream by revitalizing industrial furnaces for forge and heat treat operations. So, we were determined to build them a brand that would light up that fire for the world to see!

When Onex came to us, they had a BORING WordPress website that was painful for them to update, difficult for users to navigate, and not bringing in any quality leads. It made them look like mediocre amateurs, which was the furthest thing from the truth. This company is straight FIRE! They needed a brand look and website that showcased that fire.

During their Setup, we found that Onex had been doing a fantastic job marketing their business by presenting a human face and telling an impactful story, but they needed to channel all that PR work into a website that told more of their story so that ideal prospects would see them as the ONLY choice.

Anyone who hears Ashleigh speak about her company can tell that she and Onex are going places, but the company’s bare-bones website was slowing that progress. Onex and its many stakeholders needed a Radical Brand and website that would elevate their strengths, position them as experts, keep current customers aware, and reel in more of the kinds of customers they love and that are most profitable to their business.

Their old website did a nice job of laying out all of their services and values, but it needed foundational SEO work–things like keyword-rich page titles, headings, and slugs (the words after the “/” in your URL)–and more in-depth content that will help customers see their problem in Onex’s solution so they stay longer and take action, which will in turn signal the search engines to send more traffic for similar searches. We also created new listings on free directories and suggested industry-specific directories they should invest in.

Since Onex had a limited budget for this initial project, we carefully selected existing imagery and videos and supplemented them with some awesome photos and videos that we found online that really up-leveled their look. My favorite was a timelapse of downtown Erie that we used on their homepage banner video (below) with these brilliant orange bursts caused by raindrops on the camera lens. Using a filter, we gave the banner video a vintage look in reference to the town’s peak manufacturing heyday in the 60s. We also found a lit-up skyline image for the footer that matches their colors perfectly.

Not only does Onex LOVE their new brand, but they now say that using their new website is “a breeze.” We already have more projects lined up for Onex and could not be more excited to watch them continue to skyrocket and reignite the American Dream.
